Why CLP Survey?

The CLP Survey was created to meet the following needs:

CLP Survey

Flourishing at work

We believe in helping people flourish through their work. We do this by helping them understand their innate motivations. When understood, they can pursue these motivations to bring greater satisfaction and joy in their work.

All work involves some level of grind and no work is completely free of tasks we’d rather not do. But if we align the core conditions of our motivation with our work, we’ll be happier and more productive people.

The world of work has changed

And it continues to change. The way people thought about work and career a generation ago is very different to the lived experience of work now.

New models for understanding work needed to be developed. People don't talk openly about the place of lifestyle and purpose within the context of a satisfying and successful career deeply or often enough.

Evidence-based models and approaches

There is a lot of pseudoscience out there! There is a need for tools that are robust and scientifically valid. The most regular criticism the CLP Survey receives is that the questionnaire is too long. We’ll wear that.

We know it’s statistically valid. We’d rather make sure that what we’re producing is grounded in an evidence-based approach and that the results delivered are reliable.

Accessible

We also know many people don’t have access to good advice and support. We have sought to produce a tool that provides insight and is rich in detail but can be interpreted and understood by the user.

The CLP Survey is not designed to be used as therapy but as a coaching tool that helps people understand and express aspects of work that they need in order to flourish.
